Foreclosure signs spark worry

Coral Springs City commissioners are balking at allowing additional signage to help sell the hundreds of foreclosed homes in the city, based on fears that highlighting the crisis could reduce values of occupied properties. Real estate agent Dennis Gogonas recently asked for permission to put up additional signs to help draw buyers, but Commissioner Claudette Buck, also a real estate agent, said real estate agents cannot put open house signs on medians. The city has formed a task force to address problems with the 500 foreclosed homes within its borders.
