Construction on Bayview Market, the $200 million project at Northeast Second Avenue and 17th Street in Miami, is slated to begin in six to eight months, developer Ignacio Garcia Du-Quesne said. The Community Redevelopment Agency board approved a 50 percent, or $20 million, tax rebate for the project, the first such rebate the agency has signed with any local developer. The project is set to include 535,000 square feet of retail and office space and 1,200 to 2,160 parking spaces over 7.35 acres. Garcia Du-Quesne said the project’s financing is in place and he is now finishing the construction documents. Construction should take about 18 months, he said.
