Fort Lauderdale’s hotels have always aimed at the conventional range of vacationers, from families to spring breakers, but now the W Fort Lauderdale is pushing for a cooler crowd. The 517-room hotel opened Thursday and is aimed at catching the same crowds as the Delano in South Beach. Ina Lee, publisher of the Travelhost guide to Fort Lauderdale, said the hotel has an eclectic, chic aesthetic.
