Flagler Real Estate Services reported it closed 900,000 square feet of new and renewed leases in the state during the first quarter. That’s a 20 percent improvement from the same period last year, and could herald a better leasing climate for the rest of 2009. Flagler represented Prudential Insurance, the landlord at the Westside Plaza I office building in Doral, in a recent renewal by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida on 103,476 square feet of office space.
