Condo owners push for help

Representatives from about 100 condominium organizations in South Florida banded together to make their cries for legislative assistance heard. The second in a series of meetings convened in Hallandale Beach this week, and another meeting, hosted by condo advocate State Rep. Julio Robaina, is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the clubhouse of the Kings Creek Village condominium, at 8333 SW 81st Avenue in Kendall. Financial problems have resulted in huge association fee hikes as foreclosing banks hold back payments.
