The Florida Attorney General’s Office took aim at a trio of Miami-Dade County businesses it said were involved in a foreclosure rescue scam. Kirkland Young and its affiliated businesses Attorney Aid and ABK Consultants were named in the lawsuit, as were people associated with the three companies. The suit names David Botton, Bridget Grant, April Botton Krawiecki, Samy Botton, Michael Botton, Ryan Matthew Grant and Brian Michael Rokaw. Attorney General Bill McCollum said the deceptive and unfair trade practices suit was based on up-front fees and back-end fees for loan modifications; customers paid between $1,299 and $499 for various services, but the principals used that money for their own benefit.
