Convention bookings up in PBC

Despite two high-profile conferences no longer hosting corporate bigwigs
in Boca Raton, there is still a steady stream of conventions coming to
Palm Beach County. The Boca Raton Resort &  Club, the Breakers and
the county convention center are drawing groups from orthodontists to
commodities traders. Additionally, the Community Associations Institute
will hold its annual conference at the Boca Raton Resort & Club in
May, which has an expected attendance of around 1,200 people. Another
group, the Health Physics Society, has booked 3,800 room nights for its
June conference at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. [Palm
