More bedbug-sniffing dogs used in SF

The pest-control industry has been using dogs to detect bedbugs for at
least 10 years, but interest in the practice has exploded this year,
with hundreds of bedbug infestations being reported. Specially trained
bedbug-sniffing dogs can cost $10,000 each. Each bedbug residential-detection session can cost from $200
to $500. Bedbug infestations have
been on the rise in South Florida
, and they are particularly
troublesome because the bugs are nocturnal and tiny, capable of hiding in
small crevices and escaping visual detection. [Sun
