The Brazilian Court Hotel in Palm Beach

Occupancy and rates went up at South Florida hotels last week, according
to Smith Travel Research. For the week ending Oct. 2, occupancy in
Miami-Dade County rose to 62.4 percent from 54.4 percent in the same
period in 2009; occupancy in Broward County went up to 57.2 percent,
with Palm Beach County’s occupancy up to 50.7 percent. Nationally, the
rate went up to 61.2 percent. Miami-Dade County still had South
Florida’s highest average room rate, at $115.79, with Broward’s rate at
$88.36 and Palm Beach County’s average daily rate up to $104.21. The
national rate rose to $99.80. [SFBJ]
