Fort Lauderdale law firm Ben-Ezra & Katz wants a new hearing in the
case that it lost last month when its founding partner ended up in
contempt for his interaction with a Miami-Dade Circuit Court judge.
During a Feb. 11 hearing, attorney Marc Ben-Ezra was found to be in
contempt for how he was handling the foreclosure case, allegedly
presenting false pleadings and misleading the court and “wasting the
court’s time.” Ben-Ezra was not the direct attorney in the case, which
was dismissed with prejudice. Ben-Ezra & Katz appealed the decision
to the Third District Court of Appeal. [Palm
