Miami saw the sixth-largest drop among major U.S. metro areas in
February, dipping 6.2 percent, according to a report from
S&P/Case-Shiller. “There is very little, if any, good news about
housing,” said David Blitzer, chairman of the Index Committee at S&P
Indices, in a statement. “Prices continue to weaken, trends in sales
and construction are disappointing.” Blitzer cautioned that a ranking of
20 major metro areas was “within a hair’s breadth of a double dip.” [SFBJ]
