Two Lauderdale hotels in foreclosure

Broward-based OptimumBank has filed a foreclosure action on two boutique
hotels in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, according to a report from Condo
Vultures. The bank has filed a lis pendens, the first step in the
foreclosure process, against corporate owners of the properties housing
the Courtyard Villa on the Sand and the Buena Vista Hotel & Beach
Club, according to county records. The bank is seeking repayment on the
outstanding balance of a $4.37 million loan provided in 2005. — Alexander Britell
