Bank of America Merrill Lynch has named Jeff Horowitz its new top real estate banker, the New York Times reported. He will replace Ron Sturzenegger, who was chosen last week to run the bank’s legacy asset division that will be handling its billions of dollars in troubled mortgages. Horowitz has been in charge of Americas real estate since 2009 and previously was Merrill Lynch global head of real estate before the merger. His new official title is global head of real estate, gaming and lodging. [NYT]
