In an effort to boost its waterfront marina, Miami has issued requests for proposals seeking new operators for two city-owned properties near City Hall, Miami Today reported. The first is the current site of Grove Key Marina and Scotty’s Landing restaurant at 3385 Pan American Drive. It includes 4.5 acres for the marina and 0.28 acres for a restaurant with an additional 0.47 acres of submerged land in Biscayne Bay.

The second is the 1.34-acre property at 51 Chart House Drive that includes the Chart House Restaurant.

The city is offering a maximum 40-year lease at the first site and a 20-year lease at the second with renewal options, in hopes that a new tenant will transform the properties into destinations that would boost tourism and generate revenue. To that end, the city is requiring certain specific upgrades at eahc of the sites. Proposals are due June 15. [Miami Today]art
