Billy Joel’s Miami Beach home hits the market for $14.75 million

The Miami Beach home of six-time Grammy winner Billy Joel hit the market Monday with an asking price of $14.75 million, according to the Real Estalker. The 8,881-square-foot, seven-bedroom waterfront mansion was purchased by the singer/ songwriter in 2006 for $13.5 million. The house is located on La Gorce Island where celebrities such as Cher, Shakira and Lil’ Wayne have also owned homes.

Joel has a history of purchasing, and sometimes flipping, high-end real estate, from a $22 million Central Island, N.Y. estate which he bought in 2002 to a $5.9 million West Village, N.Y. apartment in 2005 that he sold for $11.65 million in 2011.
