Darden makes $585 million deal for Yard House

The nation’s largest full-service restaurant company, Darden Restaurants, parent company of chains such as Red Lobster and Olive Garden, is acquiring the Yard House restaurant brand for $585 million, the Palm Beach Post reported.  There are four Yard House restaurants across South Florida, with locations in Palm Beach Gardens, Boca Raton, Hallandale Beach and Coral Gables. The Irvine, Calif.-based restaurant will join Darden’s Specialty Restaurant Group, which includes The Capital Grille, Bahama Breeze, Seasons 52 and Eddie V’s.
