Miami to launch new bidding process for Grove’s Scotty’s Landing site

The city of Miami is launching a new process to evaluate proposals for the Coconut Grove site currently occupied by Scotty’s Landing, the Miami Herald reported. While a tiki-style restaurant led by a group called David One had appeared to be the frontrunner for the bid, apparent “irregularities” in the process have resulted in a new wave of proposals. According to information from a hearing last week, Scotty’s has not paid its property taxes for more than 30 years. [Miami Herald]
