Jackie Gleason’s Miami Beach home lists for $2.4M: UPDATE

Updated — Sept. 27, 2012: The head of Jackie Gleason’s estate told The Real Deal that the story cited below was incorrect and that Gleason never owned the home.

The onetime Miami Beach home of legendary entertainer Jackie Gleason has hit the market again asking $2.4 million — 200,000 under January’s asking price of $2.6 million, according the Huffington Post.  The eight-bedroom, seven-bathroom, 7,800-square-foot home boasts three kitchens, a gym and staff living quarters. Gleason moved to the property, located at 2232 Alton Road, in 1964 while working on television programs in what is now dubbed the Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater.
