Bank of America cancels $570,100 debt for South Florida homeowner

A South Florida homeowner has seen a $570,100 debt on the second mortgage on his home entirely canceled by Bank of America, the Palm Beach Post reported. The deal comes under the auspices of a $25 billion settlement agreement with state attorneys general across the country. “My clients are receiving these [notices] on a regular basis,” said Malcolm Harrison, a foreclosure attorney whose client received the cancellation. “I have seen a lot forgiven, but nothing like this…” [Palm Beach Post]
