Miami-based Fortune International has been named the marketing agent for three Riu hotels in the Dominican Republic, according to Fabian Garcia-Diaz, senior associate at Fortune’s FGD group. The properties are being marketed for a combined listing price of $95.4 million. “It’s important because it shows that Miami is getting that sort of attention,” Garcia said. “They could have listed with any company — London, Spain — and they chose Miami because it is generating the traffic and commerce that is so vital for the region.” — Alexander Britell
