Coral Gables-based commercial developer Allen Morris Company is looking to develop the namesake Allen Morris Brickell Park, ExMiami reported, citing recent filings with the city.

The park was allocated for public use in 1974. Steven J. Perricone, owner of the nearby Perricone’s Marketplace & Cafe at 15 Southeast 10th Street, has leased the park for years.

Perricone filed a unity of title in September to connect two lots on which the restaurant is located. Therefore, a residential project could be erected on the site where the restaurant currently sits. In October, two lobbyists registered to represent the Allen Morris Company in acquiring zoning and variances for the park at 25 Southeast 10th Street.

Allen Morris Residential, a branch of W. Allen Morris’ main firm, was created in November to focus on condominiums and single-family homes, as previously reported. [ExMiami]Mark Maurer
