A Hampton Inn in Plantation traded for $13 million.
Midas Plantation, a company tied to St. Louis-based Midas Hospitality, acquired the 128-room hotel at 7801 Southwest 6th Street in a transaction recorded on Thursday, according to Broward County records. The buyer assumed a $9.2 million commercial mortgage-backed securities loan from U.S. Bank as part of the transaction.
The hotel is the only one Midas owns in Florida, according to the company’s website.
Prince-Bush Investments-Plantation of Winter Park sold the hotel to Midas. It paid $7.5 million for the property in 1999, the same year the hotel was completed. — Eric Kalis
