Plans for the windowless, pyramid-like design of the Fairholme Funds museum and headquarters on Biscayne Boulevard remain exactly that since Fairholme president revealed them in September.
Representatives from Fairholme haven’t been in touch with city staff for months, according to a published report, and there’s been no movement on the project.
The two groups haven’t met since a mid-October conference with Fairholme representative and Greenberg Traurig attorney Iris Escarra to address concerns regarding Arquitectonica’s design for 2626 Biscayne Boulevard, the Next Miami reported.
Planning officials also expressed concerns about whether a raised plaza surrounding the building was compatible with the Miami-21 zoning code. [The Next Miami] — Kristina Puga
