Construction contracts in South Florida are up — significantly, according to a report released Thursday.
From 2013 to 2014, there was an overall 52 percent increase in construction contracts awarded in the tri-county area, a difference of about $3.4 billion. That breaks down into a 35 percent increase in nonresidential construction, a difference of nearly $900,000, and a 62 percent increase in residential construction, or about $2.5 billion.
The Dodge Data & Analytics also showed the percentage change of construction activity from December 2013 to December 2014 — overall, an increase of $828,581.
