The cost of owning Lebron James’ Coconut Grove home is now $2 million less, The Real Deal has learned.
The James’ originally listed the 16,678-square-foot mansion in October for $17 million. Opulence International Realty’s senior vice president of Sports & Entertainment, Tomi Rose, is the listing agent for 3590 Crystal View Court.
James and Rose agreed to reduce the price to “encourage additional activity,” according to a press release.
“Recent sales in Coconut Grove and the surrounding area showcases the niche buyer this market attracts are high profile and business professionals shopping for a community to raise their family within Miami,” Rose said in the press release. “I’ve been working with qualified buyers and have had several written offers on this listing. I’m here to make sure my seller is happy and I find a buyer my seller may come to a happy median with, which is common in all real estate transactions.”
The six-bedroom, eight-and-a-half bath compound includes a chef’s kitchen, wine cellar, office, custom theater, generator, guest home and private master rooftop sun deck. It also features an infinity pool and two 60-foot concrete docks.
A company associated with James bought the home in November 2010 for $9 million, according to Miami-Dade property records.
