PHOTOS: On the scene at Related Group, Books & Books series

The Related Group and Books & Books recently held book signings and talks at two South Florida Related projects.

Juan Carlos Botero signed copies of his book, The Art of Fernando Botero, at both events at Auberge Beach Residences & Spa and SLS Lux Brickell.

Botero is the son of Colombian artist Fernando Botero, whose sculptures are on-site at both developments. Jorge Perez and Carlos Rosso of Related were in attendance.

Auberge, a partnership between Related Group, Fortune International Group and the Fairwinds Group, will be a 171-unit beachfront project in Fort Lauderdale. Dan Marino purchased a unit in March.

The 4.6-acre site at 2200 North Atlantic Boulevard will include a spa, restaurant and resort amenities. Nichols, Brosch, Wurst, Wolf & Associates is the architect for the project, which will have prices in the $1000’s per square foot. Construction is slated to begin later this year. Auberge Resorts will manage the project.

Related Group and The Allen Morris Company are co-developing the SLS Lux hotel-condo project, which broke ground in December. The project closed on $300 million in contracts 10 days after launching sales. — Katherine Kallergis
