The week in luxury: A map of Miami-Dade’s priciest condo sales

September breathed new life into Miami-Dade County’s condo market. Each of last week’s top 10 most expensive condo sales was above $1 million, and the county as a whole saw a massive amount of units moved within seven days.

The week was led by a $3.8 million sale at the Acqualina condo tower in Sunny Isles Beach. Unit 3201, a fully furnished condo with designer lighting and a Crestron audio system, sold for $1,389 per square foot after spending 130 days on the market. Michael Goldstein, who heads sales at Acqualina, brokered the sale.

Close behind the Acqualina sale was an oceanfront unit at Jade Beach, which closed for $3.3 million after being listed for 213 days. The unit is sleek and industrial-looking, with modern furniture, white and black color schemes and a large modern kitchen. Daniel Katz of Beachfront Realty brokered the sale, which breaks down to $1,378 per square foot.

The third-most expensive unit was a condo at the Intracoastal side of the St. Regis Bal Harbour. Unit 1505N, which closed for $3.25 million, actually sold at a higher price per square foot than the unit at Jade Beach — $1,828. Not only that, but MLS data shows that the sale closed after only one day. Dmitry Viner of Keller Williams had the listing.

After those three units, sales ranged between $2.7 million and $1.46 million. This is the first week in the past month where all of the top 10 most expensive condos in the county stayed above $1 million.

Across the county, a total of 236 condos were sold for a whopping $85.15 million. That’s a huge increase from the previous week, which had $61.84 million in sales spread across 189 condos. Average prices for the week were $360,806 per unit and $265 per square foot.
