Former CBRE executive Lisa Jesmer has joined Franklin Street as vice president of management services, The Real Deal has learned.

Jesmer was previously senior director of asset services for CBRE in South Florida. There, she oversaw a portfolio of 18 million square feet of office, industrial and retail product.

At Franklin Street, Jesmer’s responsibilities will include securing new management contracts, developing client relationships and recruiting office and industrial brokers for the firm, a full-service commercial real estate company with offices in Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Tampa, as well as across the country.

“For me, I couldn’t pass up this wonderful opportunity to join a growing and dynamic real estate firm with a strong and well-defined corporate culture that places a lot of value on teamwork,” Jesmer said in a statement.

Jesmer’s experience includes five years managing Jackson Health Systems’ real estate portfolio, as well as 20 years with Jones Lang LaSalle.

Andrew Wright, CEO and managing partner at Franklin Street, said Jesmer’s hire is part of the company’s expansion into the office and industrial market.

“Building on our existing retail and multifamily management operation, she, along with Julie Palmer-Nicholson will be the cornerstone of our office and industrial management efforts throughout Florida,” he said.

Last month, Kenneth Krasnow left CBRE and joined Colliers International Group as its executive managing director. Krasnow was previously managing director at CBRE, where he oversaw operations in the company’s South Florida offices. And earlier this year, commercial brokers Deme Mekras and Elliot Shainberg left Franklin Street to start Miami-based MSP Group.
