Nationally syndicated morning radio host Tom Joyner has sold his oceanfront mansion in Miami’s Golden Beach for $21 million, county records show.
Joyner hosts the Tom Joyner Morning Show and founded REACH Media, a cross-platform media company with a reach of 12 million people, a predominantly adult African American audience, according to the company’s website.
The radio host sold his 9,764-square-foot home at 307 Ocean Boulevard to a trust led by Jan A. Marks. The six-bedroom, eight-bathroom and one-half-bath mansion sits on a whopping 26,000-square-foot lot, according to Miami-Dade County property records.
Joyner, who also leads the Tom Joyner Foundation and BlackAmericanWeb.com, paid $10.6 million for the estate in 2004, which means he sold it for nearly two times what he paid. The property, developed in 2001, includes a marble patio, pool and Jacuzzi.
It was listed earlier this year for $26 million. Rossana Franco of Carrington Real Estate represented Joyner.
Golden Beach is in the northeast corner of Miami-Dade, between the Intracoastal Waterway and Atlantic Ocean. The town has a population of 919 as of 2010. Joyner also owns a 3,771-square-foot home at 210 Ocean Boulevard, also in Golden Beach. He paid $1.45 million for it in 2012, property records show.
