Neighbors will know his name: Trey Songz has purchased a unit at Brickell Heights.
The singer-songwriter-producer was spotted at the project’s construction site last week where he bought a unit, Fortune International Realty agent Adriana Brito told The Real Deal.
The Related Group first posted a photo of Brito and her friend Trey Songz, whose real name is Tremaine Aldon Neverson, on the developer’s Instagram account on Friday. The Billboard 100 artist is known for hit songs like “Bottoms Up,” “Neighbors Know My Name” and “Na Na.”
Related is on track to complete Brickell Heights by early next year, Brito said. She declined to disclose the hip hop/R&B star’s purchase price or information on his unit, but building amenities will include a three-story Equinox gym, SoulCycle studio and a Capital One/Peet’s Coffee cafe.
Both towers at the 690-unit, mixed-use development are 99 percent sold, according to ISG’s second quarter new construction report released at the end of July. In January, Related offered its real estate agents 10 percent commissions at Brickell Heights and the adjacent SLS Lux. That followed a drop in deposit requirements last fall from the standard 50 percent to 30 percent.
Brickell Heights, at 850 Miami Avenue, secured a $160.5 million construction loan about a year ago. It topped off construction in April. Fortune is handling the sales and marketing.
