Holman Automotive expects to open a new location on Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale for its MINI auto dealership in spring.
Miller Construction Company is turning a tired, two-story auto rental building at 2125 South Federal Highway into a new metal-faced location for Holman’s Lauderdale MINI.
The new 55,507-square-foot location will replace a smaller one several blocks north on Federal Highway.
Brian Suddeth, senior vice president of Miller Construction, said in a company statement that the project’s challenges include removing selected walls and part of the second-floor slab to open the spatial design of the showroom.
Glass and glazing with an aluminum panel system will replace the exterior skin of the two-story building. Miller also is upgrading an existing two-story garage on the property.
This is Miller Construction Company’s fifth project for Holman Automotive. Miller is now building Holman’s nearby 283,430-square-foot Lauderdale BMW East showroom at 1441 S. Federal Highway.
In 2015, Miller completed the award-winning Lauderdale BMW/MINI service center, less than a mile away, which sells and supports both auto brands.
