Recording artist Billy Joel relisted his Manalapan mansion for sale and reduced the asking price by $1 million to $18.5 million.

Joel paid $18.2 million in 2014 for the 13,000-square-foot residence at 1920 South Ocean Boulevard in Manalapan and a vacant adjacent lot at 1940 South Ocean Boulevard.

GossipExtra reported that the music legend listed the mansion and lot for sale in 2015, and the properties had been on the market for 15 months when they briefly came off the market last month.

Joel then relisted them with the discounted $18.5 million asking price for the recently renovated mansion and his unchanged $9.5 million ask for the lot.

The combined asking price is $28 million, but if purchased together, the actual price would be $27 million, a $1 million discount for a package deal.

Joel isn’t the only music star discounting luxury property in Palm Beach County to sell it.

Singer Céline Dion recently knocked $7 million off the asking price for her Jupiter Island mansion. [GossipExtra] Mike Seemuth
