Univision anchor Maria Elena Salinas is looking to sign off from her Coral Gables home.
Salinas, who has co-anchored the popular Noticiero Univision since the late 1980s, is listing the five-bedroom, 4,057-square-foot home at 2517 Granada Boulevard for $3.45 million. One Sotheby’s International Realty agents Ray De Leon and Gabriela Dajer are listing the house.
Salinas bought the property in 1995 with her ex-husband, CBS-4 news anchor Elliott Rodriguez. Records show Rodriguez transferred his share of ownership in 2007.
“She’s had wonderful memories in the house but it’s a new chapter in her life,” De Leon told The Real Deal. He said she’s planning to stay in the area, but declined to provide more information.
The Coral Gables house was designed by architect Phineas Paist and completed in 1937. De Leon said the European design is a break from the Spanish Mediterranean in Coral Gables. It sits on a corner 22,500-square-foot lot near the Biltmore Hotel. Features include a fireplace, pool, living and dining rooms, a renovated kitchen, guest quarters and a covered terrace.
Co-listing agent Dajer said the property stands out because of its lot size. A similarly sized house at 3012 Granada Boulevard was also just listed for $3.495 million, but that home sits on a 15,000-square-foot lot.
