Siesta Key house and adjacent lot will be auctioned

The owner of a gulf-front house and an adjacent lot on exclusive Siesta Key will offer both properties at auction May 16.

The 8,000-square-foot house at 9230 Blind Pass Road, the southernmost residence on Siesta Key, has 270-degree unobstructed views of the Gulf of Mexico through floor-to-ceiling windows in almost every room.

“The house borders a protected nature preserve,” Thania Kanewske of Heritage Auctions said in a prepared statement, “meaning the buyer will enjoy privacy with no neighbors to the south – ever!”

The four-bedroom, six-and-a-half-bathroom house features wraparound balconies, a recreation room and sauna on the first floor, and a swimming pool overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, plus a deeded boat dock.

Design details inside the house include art lighting, custom draperies and hand-painted ceilings.

Heritage Auctions will conduct the May 16 auction the house, which was last listed for sale with a $4.49 million asking price.

Heritage will conduct a separate auction on the same day for the adjacent lot, which measures 140 feet by 100 feet. It is one of only three lots for sale on Siesta Key.

Both will be absolute auctions with no reserve, or minimum bid.
