Movers & Shakers: Marcus & Millichap taps regional VP & more

Waddell & Reed’s former managing principal left the financial services firm to join Marcus & Millichap as vice president and regional manager in Miami.

In addition to working at Waddell & Reed, Scott Lunine also previously led retail investments for Sperry Van Ness and worked for SCI Real Estate Investments and T.R. Winston & Co. He’s closed more than $4 billion in deals over his 25-year career.

Rivergate KW Residential hired new regional managers and marketing managers. Carrie Cole will oversee the property management company’s portfolio in the Carolinas and Missouri; John Demario is tasked with the Carolinas and Virginia; Courtney Fillner will oversee developments in South Carolina and Georgia; and Yanira Herrera will manage its Florida communities. Travis Block joined Rivergate as marketing manager.

Engel & Völkers Delray Beach brought on Alan Abramson as a broker associate advisor in Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Highland Beach. Abramson was previously with Bruce Alan Realty Advisers.

Kaufman Lynn Construction tapped Jeff Zalkin as vice president of development. Zalkin will be responsible for expanding Kaufman Lynn Construction’s reach and will oversee the firm’s construction services. Zalkin’s previous experience includes positions at Balfour Beatty and Pirtle Construction.

Miami-based Lloyd Jones Capital named Neil Bertrand as vice president of acquisitions. He’ll focus on the Texas market.
