A Sunset Islands waterfront mansion that was at the center of a messy divorce between Phil Collins’ ex-wife and her ex-husband, was just listed for $20 million.
Charles Fouad Mejjati Alami, the ex-husband of Orianne Collins Mejjati Alami, is the owner of the nearly 10,000-square-foot home at 1525 West 24th Street in Miami Beach, according to property records. The asking price equates to $2,063 per square foot.
Orianne, who is now reportedly back together with Phil Collins, had filed for divorce in Miami-Dade County in January 2016, saying she had claim to the home. She alleged the title was transferred to Mejjati Alami’s sole name “through deceit and fraud upon the wife, court documents show. The divorce as finalized in April of this year, and the final judgment was amended in September.
Though most other court documents are now sealed, the Mirror reported in February 2016 that Orianne Collins Mejjati Alami had wanted to nullify a previous out-of-court settlement agreement that transferred title to the home to Mejjati Alami, saying that she could not remember signing over the property since she was on painkillers due to a botched back operation.
Property records show the home’s title was transferred to Mejjati Alami’s name in June 2015. Both he and Orianne Collins had paid $8.4 million for the property in 2012.
Mathieu Rochette with Compass Florida is listing the home.
The seven-bedroom, eight-bathroom and two-half-bath home was built in 2005. Features include an interior courtyard and rooftop terrace, home theater, private gym, clubroom, elevator, pool and private boat dock, according to the listing.
Phil Collins lives nearby at 5800 North Bay Road, Jennifer Lopez’s former home, which he bought in June 2015 for $33 million.
