Retired tennis star Chris Evert listed for sale her estate west of Boca Raton where she raised her three sons. Evert, who has vacated the estate, listed it with an asking price of $4.999 million.

She bought the 12,296-square-foot residence for $2.8 million in 2003, when she was married to Olympic skier Andy Mill.

Her gated 5.23-acre estate was built in 1995 in the southwest Palm Beach County’s Horseshoe Acres community.

The property has a tennis court (of course) plus an outdoor kitchen, a putting green, swimming pool, horse trail and barn.

The main home and two guest houses have a combined total of eight bedrooms, seven bathrooms and a half bathroom. Interior features include a wet bar, fireplace, home theater, gym and library.

Evert won 157 single titles and was the top-ranked female tennis player in the world over a seven-year span. She has been retired from professional tennis since 1989.

Katia Reisler, an agent of Douglas Elliman Real Estate in Boca Raton, and Rebecca Spooner of Siemens Group Realty share the listing. [Sun-Sentinel]Mike Seemuth
