Sorbillo Pizzeria | South Beach

Sorbillo Pizzeria will open its first location in the Southeastern U.S. in Miami Beach’s South-of-Fifth neighborhood in September, The Real Deal has learned.

The restaurant signed a lease at 100 Collins Avenue, said Noah Fox of Koniver Stern Group, who represented Myles Chefetz, the owner of the property. The 2,500-square-foot space, next door to Chefetz’s Prime Fish, most recently housed Craft Social, and was previously home to Shoji Sushi.

Sorbillo Pizzeria is based in Naples, Italy, and opened its first outpost in the U.S. in November, with a location in New York’s Bowery neighborhood. It has also signed a lease to open in Times Square, Fox said.

For its Miami Beach lease, the restaurant was represented by Maurizio Galle of Avenue Real Estate.

The Italian restaurant was open a year and a half, according to a release. It recently opened a pop-up at the Craftsman in Brickell.

Wynwood

David Lombardi’s Lombardi Properties paid $2.5 million for a single-story warehouse in Wynwood that the developer plans to renovate and lease out to restaurants.

Lombardi is in talks with two restaurants to take about 1,875 square feet each at 169 Northwest 23rd Street, Daniel Lombardi said. The restaurants will also have outdoor space. He declined to name them or provide asking rents.

Alex Campos, owner of Noisematch Studios, sold the building. He’ll relocate to 4306 Northwest Second Avenue in Miami’s Buena Vista neighborhood. Eric Gonzalez of Central Commercial Real Estate represented Campos in the sale.

Casa D’Angelo | Fort Lauderdale

Casa D’Angelo Ristorante in Fort Lauderdale is expanding with its newly renovated Casa Bar, a bar and lounge, at the restaurant at 1201 North Federal Highway.

RCC Associates, ID & Design International and Burton Hersh Architecture built and designed the 1,200-square-foot bar, which features new flooring, lighting, more bar seating and larger tables.

Angelo Elia opened the upscale restaurant in Fort Lauderdale in 1998, and has expanded throughout South Florida and to the Bahamas. The chef and restaurateur also owns Angelo Elia Pizza, Bar & Tapas, which has locations in Fort Lauderdale, Weston, Delray Beach and Coral Springs.
