Former Compass agent Miltiadis Kastanis now director of luxury sales at DE

Skanska USA promoted Daimon Perez to director of the firm’s environmental, health and safety division for Florida. Perez was previously assistant director, and has worked for Skanska since 2006.

Jay Massirman’s Rivergate Companies, Eden Multifamily and Miami City Self Storage hired three new associates.

Marc Chasin joined Rivergate as a corporate development associate, where he will be responsible for organizing and coordinating with team members, partners and clients, and serving as a liaison for Rivergate’s partners.

Jerry Aguirre is now a development associate at Eden working on acquisition opportunities, project underwriting, market research and data analytics.

Tyler Heckaman joined Miami City Self Storage as an acquisitions associate. The self storage company has 11 projects underway in Miami-Dade and Broward counties.

Miltiadis Kastanis joined Douglas Elliman as a director of luxury sales. The former Compass agent will focus on sales of Eighty Seven Park, a luxury condo building being developed by Terra in North Beach. Jorge Sanchez is leading the sales team.

Brian Rosen was named chief investment officer of Acesso Partners, a real estate investment group that owns and manages office buildings across the country. Rosen was promoted from his previous role as managing director. He’s also responsible for securing joint ventures, refinancings and selling portfolio properties. Before joining Accesso, he was a partner at New York-based Investcorp International.

BGI Capital, led by Kenneth Baboun and Robert Barthelmess, brought on Michael Nuñez as a senior wholesale mortgage account executive.

The Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach hired a new general manager, Kathryn Day, within a month of changing ownership. In June, the Blackstone Group sold the 589-room hotel at 1881 Southeast 17th Street to Brookfield Asset Management’s Thayer Lodging Group for $170.6 million, marking one of the biggest South Florida hotel sales in recent years. Day joined the Fort Lauderdale property from the Drake Chicago, where she was general manager.

The Diplomat Beach Resort Hollywood, also owned by Brookfield, hired Laurens Zieren as general manager of the 1,000-key hotel at 3555 South Ocean Boulevard.
