The founder of Sheetz, the popular gas station and convenience store, sold his new waterfront Boca Raton mansion for $12.6 million.
Robert Sheetz sold the 9,333-square-foot estate at 1160 Royal Palm Way for $1,350 per square foot to Stephen and Kim Bruno of Boca Raton, according to property records.
Sheetz bought the property in 2017 for $4.6 million and the home was completed this year. The six-bedroom, eight-and-a half-bathroom house is in the Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club.
David Roberts of Royal Palm Properties represented the seller, while Kenneth Beckett of Beckett Realty Advisors represented the buyer.
Sheetz founded Sheetz Inc. – a competitor to Wawa – in Altoona, Pennsylvania, when he was 18 years old. The company now has more than 430 convenience stores throughout six states: Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia and North Carolina.
In April, the head of a medical investment firm and his wife sold their waterfront mansion at 271 West Coconut Palm Road also in the Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club community for $11 million.
