Richard Templer, the owner of a professional horse racing stable, and his wife Diane Templer, purchased a waterfront home in Boca Raton for $12.2 million.
The Templers bought the 8,912 square-foot-home at 190 Northeast 5th Avenue for $1,368 per square foot, records show. Jeffery H. Norman, the founder of JH Norman Construction sold the home.
The house has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms and two half-bathrooms. It has 180 feet of frontage on the Intracoastal Waterway.
The custom home was built in 2018 by JH Norman Construction and designed by architect Brenner Architecture Group AIA. JH Norman purchased the property for $6.8 million in 2017 before building the house, records show.
Amenities include a glass enclosed wine room, fireplace, utility room, four-bay garage and a yacht dock.
Joseph Liguori of Premier Estate Properties represented the buyer and the seller in the deal, according to Realtor.com.
Richard Templer owns the thoroughbred racing stable Doubledown Stables.
Boca Raton has recently seen a slew of high-profile sales. Earlier this month, Robert Sheetz, the founder of the Sheetz convenience store and gas station chain, sold a waterfront estate at 133 West Coconut Palm Road in the Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club for $11.45 million.
In September, a group of executives tied to a West Palm Beach transportation company bought a 9,203-square-foot house at 300 East Key Palm Road for $12.1 million.
