UPDATED, Jan. 26, 11:55 a.m.: The owner and operator of Planet Fitness locations and Smoothie Kings in the Midwest sold his home in Palm Beach Gardens for $5.3 million.

Records show John P. Clancy and his wife, Regina, sold the house at 12034 Corozo Court to William E. Weisberg.

John Clancy is a founding and managing member of Planet Fitness Midwest and is a managing member of Smoothie King Midwest. He also is a managing member of Cornerstone Properties, which has a portfolio valued at over $100 million, according to his website.

The Clancys bought the 7,108-square-foot house when it was new in 2016 for $4.5 million, according to records. They listed the home in July 2020 for $5.5 million. Cornelius McGinnis with Old Palm Real Estate represented the Clancys.

Weisberg is chairman and CEO of Affiliated Distributors, a distribution and manufacturing company based in Wayne, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1981, the company specializes in distributing and manufacturing construction and industrial products, according to its website.

In July, Weisberg’s former wife, Karin Taylor, purchased a waterfront house in Tequesta for $3.1 million.

Weisberg’s newly purchased six-bedroom home is on a half-acre lot with lake and Old Palm Golf Club views. The house has seven full bathrooms, two half-bathrooms, two two-car garages and a pool, according to the listing.

In Palm Beach Gardens, professional golfer Louis Oosthuizen sold his home for $5.5 million in early 2020.

Other recent celebrity deals in Palm Beach Gardens include Serena Williams selling her home for $2.8 million, and Swedish model Elin Nordegren buying a home for $9.9 million in September.
