Oceanfront mansion in Manalapan sells for $26M

Sellers built the nearly 17K sf house in 2018

An oceanfront mansion in Manalapan sold for $25.75 million, $14 million off its original listing price two years ago.

Whimsical Florida LLC, a Kentucky corporation, sold the estate at 1040 South Ocean Boulevard to a Delaware corporation, 1040 Ocean LLC, according to records.

A trust tied to Daniel Kloiber bought the house that was formerly on the site for $9.2 million in 2008, and transferred it to Whimsical Florida, managed by Beth J. Kloiber, in 2016, records show.

The existing, 16,570-square-foot mansion was built in 2018.

According to Redfin.com, Pascal Liguori with Premier Estate Properties brokered the sale. The mansion was first listed in March 2019 with an asking price of $40 million. The most recent asking price was $35 million in May.

In July, an oceanfront mansion on the same street sold for $36 million.

The recently sold home, designed by Yates Rainho Architects, straddles roughly 200 feet of beachfront and 200 feet of Intracoastal water frontage. The property has a six-bedroom main house and a two-bedroom guesthouse with a total of 15 bathrooms, including 12 full baths and three half-baths.

The 2.14-acre property also has a pool and a private dock.

Buyers are snapping up lots in Manalapan to build new mansions. A company tied to a Georgian venture capitalist recently sold a home lot for $17.3 million, and the chairman of an auto group bought a lot for $7.9 million.
