Entity led by Keith Menin sold the Pine Tree Drive house

The owners of Pura Vida Miami paid nearly $7 million for a waterfront home in Miami Beach.

Property records show 5401 Pinetree LLC, led by hospitality mogul Keith Menin, sold the five-bedroom, six-and-a-half-bedroom home at 5401 Pine Tree Drive to Omer and Jennifer Horev for $6.8 million. Menin, along with Mathew Papunen and Adam Singer, manage the company that sold the property.

The Horevs own Pura Vida, a group of five restaurants in Miami, Miami Beach and West Palm Beach. They also co-own the recently opened Abba Telavivian Kitchen in South Beach with chef and restaurateur Samuel Gorenstein.

The Horevs financed their purchase with a $5 million loan from J.P. Morgan Chase.

Their new Miami Beach house spans 5,633 square feet and features a pool deck with a loggia and heated pool, updated kitchen and landscaped courtyard.

The Menin-led LLC paid $4.2 million for the 0.3-acre property in 2018. The house was built in 1925 and expanded in the early 1980s. The property has 75 feet of water frontage along the Indian Creek Canal.

Court records show a contractor filed a lawsuit in late 2019 to foreclose on a mechanic’s lien. The contractor, R.E.T.C. Inc., alleged it was owed about $15,000 in unpaid work. The contractor and 5401 Pinetree LLC settled in August.

Menin has been renovating a number of homes in Miami Beach. A company led by the Menin Hospitality principal recently acquired the former Venetian Islands home of Ticket Clinic founder Mark Gold for $21 million, as well as Cher’s former La Gorce Island mansion for about $17 million.

Menin was also tapped by venture capitalist Shervin Pishevar, an early investor in Uber and Airbnb, to redevelop his Miami Beach mansion at 4647 Pine Tree Drive, with plans to list it for $35 million.
