A waterfront mansion in Bal Harbour sold for $14 million, $10 million off the initial asking price five years ago.
Records show Vincent and Paulina Apice sold the home at 240 Bal Bay Drive to 240 Bal Bay LP, a Delaware limited partnership.
Vincent Apice bought the home in 2002 for $6.5 million, records show. In 2013, he signed a quit claim deed, giving Paulina Apice ownership, as part of their divorce filing.
The home was first listed in 2016 with an asking price of $23.9 million. According to Realtor.com, the most recent asking price was $15.9 million in February 2020.
Lourdes Alatriste, now of Douglas Elliman, had the listing in 2020.
Built in 2001, the 8,134-square-foot house has seven bedrooms, eight full bathrooms and two half-bathrooms on a 0.43-acre lot, according to property records. The property also features a four-car garage, elevator and a private dock with 100 feet of water frontage.
Recently in Bal Harbour, a real estate investor listed a waterfront property for $65 million, and the CEO of a French insurance brokerage sold a mansion for $23.9 million.
