An entity linked to an Argentinian investor paid $30 million for a triplex penthouse at Turnberry Ocean Club in Sunny Isles Beach, marking the priciest sale of a unit in the condo tower.

Records show Big Zazu LLC, a Delaware entity, bought unit PH-01 at 18501 Collins Avenue from the developer, Beach Club Acquisition LLC.

The deed lists an address for a unit at Marina Palms South, a condominium in North Miami Beach. The owning entity, White Velvet LLC, is linked to Argentinian investor Emiliano Sebastian Fernandez Balague.

Corporate records from the United Kingdom show Balague was an executive with AP Global Corporation LLP from 2009 to 2016. AP Global is the parent company of global payments platform AstroPay, which operates in Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa, according to its website.

Balague bought the Marina Palms unit in 2017 for $1 million, records show.

His Turnberry Ocean Club penthouse purchase marks the highest-priced sale in the tower, according to records.

The unit spans 9,600 square feet, with six bedrooms, nine bathrooms and one half-bathroom, records show. The unit is a triplex advertised as the “Tower Suite” on Turnberry Ocean Club’s website, and includes a private gym, a private pool, staff quarters, and a rooftop kitchen. Miami-based interior designer Steven G designed the penthouse, which includes custom furniture, as well.

Jeffrey Soffer’s Fontainebleau Development completed construction of the 54-story, 154-unit Turnberry Ocean Club in 2021. Six stories are devoted to amenities, and residents have access to Turnberry’s golf course and marina, according to its website.

Closings began in 2020, and records show the developer still owns four units in the tower.

In December, a Brazilian beverage heiress bought a unit in the tower for $7.4 million. Data scientists Magid and Linda Abraham bought a condo for $14.3 million in April.
