Retired commercial brokerage boss Dan Hughes and his wife, Beth Ann Hughes, sold their Coconut Grove penthouse for $17.5 million.
The Hughes sold unit UPH-A in Two Park Grove at 2821 South Bayshore Drive to Penchant 2821 PH Land Trust, records show. Penne Silverman, managing director of Miami Beach-based Penchant Holdings, a family office, signed on behalf of the buyer.
Jessica Adams of One Sotheby’s International Realty had the listing, and Angelina Escorcia of Luxe Properties brought the buyer.
Dan is the founder of Metro Commercial, a commercial real estate brokerage with operations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Florida. The firm provides landlord services to 32 million square feet of property, according to its website.
The couple bought the Two Park Grove penthouse in 2021 for $10 million. That same year, they sold a mansion in Coral Gables for $16 million, according to property records.
Built in 2018, the Two Park Grove condo spans 5,800 square feet, five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. The unit includes a 4,000-square-foot rooftop with a pool, spa, outdoor kitchen, cabana and bathroom, according to the listing.
The penthouse was listed for $18 million in May last year, per Redfin.Two Park Grove, a 23-story, 67-unit building, is one of the three building’s in Park Grove, a condominium complex developed by Related Group and Terra. The complex has a total of 271 units, and was designed by Rem Koolhaas’s OMA and Arquitectonica, with Meyer Davis Studio designing the interiors.
