Here’s the latest South Florida hiring news.
Marcus & Millichap promoted Jonathan De La Rosa to senior vice president of investments in its Miami office, according to a press release. De La Rosa started at the commercial brokerage in 2013 as a senior associate, and most recently held the title of first vice president, his LinkedIn shows. He is also the firm’s national retail division director, the release says.
Miami-headquartered multifamily management firm RKW Residential bolstered its staff, hiring Laura Rodriguez as regional vice president of operations, according to a press release. Rodriguez is taking charge of the firm’s day-to-day operations for all of Florida. She joins RKW from her role as an executive vice president of property management with Housing Trust Group in Coconut Grove, her LinkedIn shows.
The move comes more than a year after rental management software firm Alfred bought RKW for $50 million, as part of its plan to scale up operations across the Southeast.
Serhant, another firm that is scaling operations in the region, added 11 agents to its office in Delray Beach, a spokesperson confirmed. Led by celebrity broker Ryan Serhant, the firm added Suzanne Petrizzi, formerly of Corcoran, and her team of five agents: TJ Verdiglione, Kelsey Brown, Nicole Melveney and Colton Bryan.
Also joining Serhant in South Florida are Jason Sims, formerly with Douglas Elliman; Julie Davis, formerly with Compass; Brandon McShane, formerly with Illustrated Properties; Ebru Covgun, formerly with Keller Williams; Lorena Rodriguez, formerly with Charles Rutenberg Realty; and Dani Short, formerly with Chris Allen Realty.
Serhant hit a snag in its South Florida expansion in June, when Sutter & Nugent filed a lawsuit against the brokerage for recruiting its agents.
