A spec developer sold a mansion in Pinecrest for a record $11.2 million, marking the village’s fourth price record in less than a year.
Records show Sierra Development 2 LLC, a Florida entity managed by Filiberto Sierra, sold the spec house at 10860 Southwest 67th Court to Skyline Capital Group, a Delaware entity. The true buyer is unknown.
Michael Martinez and Kiki Rutten of One Sotheby’s International Realty had the listing, and Martinez represented the buyer. Martinez declined to comment on the buyer’s identity, but said they are a Florida resident.
Filiberto’s Sierra Development bought the 1.1-acre vacant property for $1.4 million in 2021, records show. He completed a nearly 8,300-square-foot mansion earlier this year. The home includes seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a wine cellar and staff quarters. The property also has a pool, outdoor kitchen and guest house, according to the listing.
Martinez said Filiberto has been a regular developer in Pinecrest in recent years.
He listed the mansion for $12.5 million in August, Redfin shows. The sale beats the price record set in June when retired Boston Red Sox first baseman David Ortiz sold his Pinecrest mansion for $10.6 million. Ortiz, also known as “Big Papi,” had beat out another professional athlete for the record price title.
Miami Heat player Tyler Herro bought his Pinecrest mansion for $10.5 million in December, setting a record just days after a fintech executive bought a home for a then-record $10.3 million.
Martinez said he sees demand in Pinecrest holding strong, noting that the peace, quiet and privacy of the area is a big draw for buyers.
“Not everybody wants to live on the water,” he said. “Not everybody wants to live in the hustle and bustle.”
