Movers & Shakers: Stantec Promotes Miami Principals

Players and dealmakers are moving up the ladder in the latest roundup of South Florida real estate hiring news.

Stantec is forming a new principal-led team in its Miami office with a series of promotions, according to a press release. Gustavo Alberti and Aida Sanchez-Gomez were elevated from senior architect roles to principals. They join principals Arturo Vasquez and Elvira Freire-Santamaria in helming the team, the release shows. Prior to joining Stantec, both Alberti and Sanchez-Gomez held roles with Miami-based Arquitectonica, according to LinkedIn.  

In Palm Beach, Forman Capital promoted Ty Regnier to vice president, a press release shows. He joined the lender last year as an associate vice president, according to the release. In his new role, Regnier will oversee new loan originations and underwriting.

It’s a reunion of sorts. Prior to joining Forman, Regnier was a senior associate with Trez Capital, the real estate investment firm based in Vancouver. Brett Forman and Ben Jacobson relaunched Forman Capital last year, after a six-year stint at Trez Capital. 

In Davie, ANF Group announced a new CEO, along with several other leadership promotions. The firm’s longtime president, Alberto Fernandez, is taking the reins as CEO, according to a press release. His father, Alberto Fernandez, Sr. launched the firm in 1981.

Nelson Fernandez, who has been with the company for more than 40 years, is assuming the role of president of ANF Development, the release shows. He was previously executive vice president. Alberto Gil, who joined the company in 1986, is taking over as president of ANF Construction. He was formerly senior vice president. 

Build-to-rent developer Christopher Todd is expanding, opening an office in Boca Raton, according to a release. Headquartered in Mesa, Arizona, the firm specializes in building single-family rental communities. It hired Jeffrey Gersh, another Trez Capital alum, as Florida regional president, and Matthew Paul as Florida regional vice president, the release shows. 

In their new roles, Gersh and Paul will focus on expansion and development opportunities in Tampa, St. Petersburg, Orlando, Sarasota, southwest Florida, Jacksonville, the Treasure Coast and the Space Coast.

Additionally, Christopher Todd is also opening offices in Texas and Utah.
